Ideas, stories and mathematics

Maths has a lot to say.

Through videos, visual stories and thoughtful lessons, I explore the ideas behind mathematics—and make room for the questions that bring it to life.

More than the answer

Curiosity is part of the subject.

Why does a method work? Where do we meet mathematics outside a textbook? The Mathsverse makes space for the patterns, stories and unexpected ideas that can turn a formula into something worth exploring—and sharing.

Meet your mentor

Clear explanations. Patient teaching. No fear of asking why.

I’m Sourav Biswas—a mathematics teacher and creator who still enjoys a good “why does that work?” moment. I began teaching mathematics in 2010, and I’ve learned that understanding grows when students feel comfortable asking questions.

I like finding a clear route into a difficult idea—sometimes through a sketch, a familiar example, or a small mathematical detour. My teaching is patient and structured, with one simple aim: help students think for themselves and feel confident asking why.

I teach Classes 7–12, mainly ICSE and CBSE, in English, Bengali and Hindi.

A friendly mentor, a curious mathematician, and a teacher.
